Forests of Ukraine Supervisory Board Approves New Investment Planning and Oversight Framework

19 October 2026

On October 15, the Supervisory Board of SE “Forests of Ukraine” approved a new Investment Management Procedure aimed at improving the planning, selection, and implementation of investment projects.

The key objective is to improve investment management efficiency, ensure that the needs of regional branches are taken into account, and strengthen oversight of how funds are used.

The new framework will enable the company to develop a comprehensive view of its investment needs, covering not only the current year but also a longer-term horizon of 3–5 years.

Investment projects will go through a five-stage review and approval process, from proposals submitted by regional branches to the final approval of the investment plan by the Supervisory Board. Projects will be assessed based on their feasibility, costs, and alignment with the company’s strategy.

“An investment plan should be more than just a list of purchases. It should be a tool for the company’s development. We need to clearly understand why each project is selected, what results we expect, and who is accountable for its implementation,” said Markiyan Vytvytskyy, Chair of the Supervisory Board of SE “Forests of Ukraine.”

The new framework provides for enhanced financial analysis of all investment projects, including assessments of their expected effectiveness, potential risks, and impact on the company’s financial position. Projects exceeding or UAH 100 million are subject to additional requirements concerning the depth and detail of this analysis.

Document also strengthens existing oversight mechanisms for investment project implementation. In particular, it clarifies responsibilities at each stage and streamlines reporting. This will enable more effective monitoring of project implementation, assessment of results, and timely responses to potential deviations from approved plans.

During the meeting, the Supervisory Board also considered a number of other matters related to the company’s operations, improvements in management processes, and the further development of Forests of Ukraine, adopting the relevant decisions.
